Mansfield District Hospital AuxiliaryJewellery will shine at Highton Manor - Thursday, 31st MayThe Mansfield District Hospital Auxiliary’s next event will be a fundraising luncheon and jewellery showing on Thursday 31st May at Mansfield’s historic “Highton Manor”. Sarah Carey from “Ansara of the High Country” will have a range of her beautifully handcrafted jewellery for display and purchase. Sarah has lived in the Mansfield District for the past 8 years and established her own design and manufacturing business 3 years ago creating specialized jewellery for clients, and offering a fine jewellery repair service to the community. “I am delighted to assist the auxiliary with their continuing endeavours to support our very important hospital facility” said Sarah “ I will demonstrate correct care and cleaning of jewellery items on the day; everyone will leave with gleaming rings and bracelets” “Highton Manor” is a beautiful historic mansion with an imposing Italian facade, and stunning views over the farmland to Mt Buller. Frances Highett commenced construction in 1870 and the project was finally finished in 1896. The 80 square mansion operates today as a Luxury Guest House in Highton Lane “Now, we have snow on the mountains the fires are set and warming the rooms. The Manor is a beautiful setting for groups such as the Hospital Auxiliary to enjoy. Joseph and I welcome the opportunity to support such a hard working group of volunteers.” said Christine Molinaro, owner and operator of Highton Manor.” We hope everyone will take the opportunity to have a wander through the garden, the roses are blooming so fantastically at the moment.” The basket lunch will be prepared in the kitchen at Highton Manor and served in the elegant ballroom with selected wines. Tickets are $25.00 pp. There will also be a raffle and door prize available to all who attend. More information on the luncheon is available from Pat Woolmer 03 57791979 |
