YAFM's aims are to:
- enlist members to support this purpose
- raise funds for the provision of aquatic facilities
- liaise with sporting, community and health organisations in development and promotion of aquatic facilities
- enlist support of government and funding bodies in development of the project
- keep the community informed of progress.
